West Hertfordshire Beekeepers Association – Beginners’ Course 2017

This eight week course will provide prospective Beekeepers with the essential knowledge and skills to keep and manage bees.  The course will be based around a core beginners beekeeping text (to be provided) and will be supported by additional specialist materials as required.

The course will also provide a solid foundation for those who wish to progress onto the British Beekeepers Association’s Basic Assessment.

The course will consist of eight theory sessions – the dates are shown below. The last four theory sessions will be augmented with four dedicated apiary sessions from 13:30 to 15:00 on the adjacent Saturday, weather permitting

Theory dates: Feb 8th & 22nd, March 8th & 22nd, April 19th & 26th, May 3rd & May 10th
Apiary dates: April 22nd & 29th, May 6th & May 13th

The theory sessions will take place at Combewood, Horseshoe Lane, Watford WD25 7HL on Wednesday evenings from 19:30 to 21:30.  See map below.
